huh. idk if I have or haven’t seen them. normally stuff like that around here ends up with worms instead.

Ewwwwwwwwwwww

Cereal bugs have larvae that look kind of wormy but they’re also pretty recognizable because they’re brown and have bristly hair that makes them look like a teeny fusion of a centipede and a caterpillar

WHAT ARE THEY???

LITTLE BITCHES IS WHAT THEY ARE

Uhhh but to be serious they’re a species of larder beetle that infest houses in the spring and summer looking for food and they end up in some fuck-backwards weird places. I took a roll of toilet paper out of the holder last week and there was one on it, and I found one climbing up the brickwork behind our sink on Friday.

It kind of makes me like them in a resentful sort of way just because of how clueless and lost they always are.

We call ‘em cereal bugs because you’ll mostly find them in boxes of stale cereal or pet food. They’re also pretty small, about as long as a pill bug but thinner, so they usually just look like black beetles with a brown spot on their back if you see them.
