Anyway I finished B: The Beginning and my immediate reaction is that it’s a lot better than I expected a Netflix anime to be

My only real issue is that it started out as a kind of quirky crime / thriller thing with fantasy vaguely thrown in and then within like 2 episodes it changed into a sci-fi / psychological drama with fantasy openly thrown in, like it was kind of a sudden shift and it doesn’t give you much time to adjust to the main characters suddenly knowing all these things and laying their backstories out all at once

Also it is super violent, I made a lot of faces watching it

It’s a good show in that there aren’t any of those stupid fucking trope episodes and the female characters are, like, hardly sexualized at all and they’re just part of the story

Koku and Brandon are really cute, Keith’s pretty cool too, really all of the main team are okay characters

So yeah it’s a decent little series, I’m not sure if they’re planning to continue it? It was left a little open ended in the last episode but not explicitly at a cliffhanger
