okay and another thing the email is ended with basically a pledge to stop disinformation campaigns and like… tumblr… buddy

I remember one time Tumblr replaced the post icons with random object symbols that didn’t match the post type and within 30 minutes of it happening Staff fixed it and made a post that said “These options have proved unpopular among our userbase which is why we switched them back” and it was such obvious hurried-incompetent-corporate-code speak for “Somebody fucked the icons up and we never meant for them to see the light of day but we’ll pretend it’s a user satisfaction issue instead” and it was so smarmy and obviously untrue

Why is it like… taking time to reach people? and I’m still confused because some of those people seemed like real sj posters

Not sure, in my case I didn’t check my email until the next morning so it probably came on time and I just didn’t see it.

I think they were! Real people, at least. They might have been working for the IRA so their entire taskforce wasn’t just bots.
