Oh yeah and the new debit card my bank promised me a month ago finally showed up today and they actually let me keep my rainbow tie-dye background, I was expecting a flat blue one because that’s what they gave Mom when she lost hers

We were supposed to take Shadow to the vet today and we were all set up to take a taxi but then Mom called and said she was getting off work early so we didn’t call the cab

And then 20 minutes before the appointment she called again and said the van was dying and leaking gas everywhere so we had to reschedule 🙂

Oh and Senator Franken resigned a couple of days ago, or he announced his resignation at least

And… I’m slightly torn because politics wise, he was pretty decent, he’s been for net neutrality since the arguments first came up in 2010 or so and he was really hard on Trump’s cabinet people when they came through because he could tell they didn’t actually know anything

But he also FUCKED up so bad it’s a little amazing

Basically, to rehash, last month-ish someone came forward saying that he had tried to kiss and grope her when they worked together, and then later he took a picture of himself grabbing her chest while she was asleep, like it was this stupid, vile thing that didn’t make any sense, and then the news got hold of it so there was no way he could hide it or say it didn’t happen

And then various other women popped up and said he’d groped them or tried to kiss them when he was campaigning, and I think one said she was a staffer in the capital at the time of her harassment

So I’m nervous because I was used to him and I don’t know who his replacement will be but he also needs to deal with what happened and he kind of deserves to lose his position because of it

I wonder if we ever actually will have a Revolution™

Like is it ever going to get to the point where enough people are so tired of cops and poverty and corporate overreach and political corruption that everybody just recoils at once

It’s really wishful magical thinking but since net neutrality is probably going to be removed it kind of feels like deleting everything and trying to start over is the only way to fix it

But what bugs me is that I only ever hear this kind of talk from, like, the neo-Libertarian anarchist types and it’s usually along the lines of “Man I wish there was a zombie apocalypse or nuclear war so mob law couldn’t be punished and I could live my violent power fantasy”

Like as much as I want things to change as quickly as possible I’m also terrified of what people will try to do to each other if everything’s removed all at once

Ughhhhh god Mom got sick this morning with the flu and around 5 tonight I started feeling it too, I must have caught it from her somehow

I’m all achy and tired and I feel gross so I’m gonna try to sleep for a while

Oh yeah I had a weird dream this morning about wandering around in some sort of zoo or theme park and then sneaking into a closet-type door on a walkway and then finding Callie and Marie’s, like, temporary motel / rehearsal / changing rooms with their outfits hanging on doors on the other side of the room, like the two rooms were identical except for color, they were done up in their respective colors

I tried to get back in later but I got busted and there was a lot of yelling and running around

I don’t know why I was in their rooms, I feel like I’m not that kind of creepy fan IRL

Oh yeah earlier today one of those IRS scam bots called our house phone and left this stuttery, weirdly worded message about how they tried to talk to us about our tax fraud but we hadn’t responded, SO they were filing a lawsuit against us and we needed to call them before it went to court

We’re obviously gonna delete the message and forget it ever happened lmao but I couldn’t help but notice how they had a bot say the things instead of a person, yet it still gave itself away because of how poorly they had written the script it was reading from
