When they’re meowing at me a lot I’ll start saying “Yeahhh…” or “Whaaaat?” at the same pitch as their meows (This confuses the hell out of them and makes them meow more)

For Lilac specifically, since she has a very loud and bossy meow: “All you do is holler!”

For Shadow specifically, as she’s very round and potato shaped: “Spudcat! Spuddybuddy! Spuuuuddyyy! SPUUUUUUUDDYYYYYY! Spudderspudder! Spuddling!” and sometimes I’ll pat her sides quick and go “Blump blump” with each pat

Our new vet is super nice and I really like her

We were supposed to take Shadow to the vet today and we were all set up to take a taxi but then Mom called and said she was getting off work early so we didn’t call the cab

And then 20 minutes before the appointment she called again and said the van was dying and leaking gas everywhere so we had to reschedule 🙂
